Heating up of Coke Oven Battery at Rengali Steel Plant (India)

Within the framework of foreign trade contract with Bhushan Power & Steel Ltd. the Specialists of OKOS developed and submitted to the Customer Engineering for heating up and change of coke oven battery over the permanent heating mode with pure propane-butane gas, commissioning and change the battery over the heating with coke oven gas.

The following works on preparation of coke oven battery to heating up are performed currently at site:
- erection of temporary gas pipelines;
- installation of gas- reducing unit;
- installation of gas burners in oven stoves of coking chambers;
- placement of thermocouples and other works.

As per 11.04.2016 overall readiness of coke oven battery complex to heating up is estimated as 85%. The beginning of coke oven battery heating is scheduled for late May - early June 2016.
