Inspection of Coke Oven Battery and By-product Plant at ArcelorMittal Zenica

In April 2018, OKOS experts carried out an inspection of Coke oven battery No.6 and the By-product plant at the site of AM Zenica in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The inspection results and recommendations for repairs and operation of hazardous metallurgical facilities have been presented to the customer in the form of a brief technical report.
Background summary:
- 1982: Coke oven battery No.6 (twin verticals with recirculation), of underfiring type, GIPROKOKS design) was commissioned;
- 1992: due to hostilities, the battery was decommissioned, changed over to hot mothballing and eventually shut down;
- 2008: upon completion of its repairs, the coke oven battery was heated with natural gas and re-commissioned by OKOS team of experts.
