Hot repairs of coke oven battery No.4 of EVRAZ ZSMK

On January 21, 2019, the OKOS team commenced the work of technical supervision and technical assistance for the hot repairs of heating walls and regenerators of coke oven battery No.4 of the Coal Preparation-Coke Making-Blast Furnace Department at EVRAZ ZSMK Plant.
As part of the contracted job package, it will be necessary to supervise the repair work (rebricking) of 10 Nos. heating walls to a depth of 4 vertical flues starting from course 8 of the corbel area, and carry out repair of regenerator walls with partial replacement of their checker bricks.

Coke oven battery No.4 (h=5.0 m., V=30.0 m3) is of GIPROKOKS design, with twin vertical flues and waste heat recirculation and side firing of ovens. The COB is heated by a gas mix (coke oven and BF gas). Rated output capacity of the battery is 690 thou.tons per year; it was commissioned in December 1968.
